(in a pinch, wet wipes are a lifesaver and I have them in suite!) 🤎Hair must be a quarter of an inch (about 10-14 days of growth) to adhere correctly to the wax. 🤎Resist the urge to shave between sessions.  Shaving chafes the skin and creates sharper, coarser hair! 🤎Gently exfoliate the night before or take a warm bath to prep the skin before your wax. Having a warm bath or shower before your wax can soften your skin allowing for easier hair removal. I recommend exfoliation the night before as this removes dead skin build up around and in the follicle again aiding in easier and more thorough removal. You can gently dry brush, use a gentle exfoliating scrub or glove/mit. 🤎Chill. Come to your appointment as relaxed as you can. Like a lot of things in life, the anticipation is often worse than the actual event. 🤎Take a deep breath. I will often ask clients to take a few deep breaths and to try to relax their muscles once they get on the waxing table.  Don’t worry—it really doesn’t hurt that much. And trust me, I want you to come back, so I won’t do anything to traumatize you! 🤎Know that it gets better.  I get that first timers don’t know what to expect. My advice is to acknowledge that the first one will be the most uncomfortable, especially if you’ve been shaving prior to it. However, it doesn’t have to be the worst thing you’ve ever done. Most of the time, people leave the suite pleasantly relieved that the wax wasn’t nearly as bad as they expected.  Every wax after the first one gets easier, especially when your hair starts growing in finer and we weaken the follicle! 🤎Medicate if you must. If you’re concerned about the potential for pain, take some medicine before your appointment. Ibuprofen or Advil are what I recommend. 🤎Remember, it will be over before you know it. Being fuzz-free is so worth a couple minutes of discomfort! TAN PREP 24-48 Hours Before Your Spray Tan: 🤎 Exfoliate: • Use a gentle exfoliator or exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin. Focus on rough areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and feet. Avoid oil-based scrubs, as they can leave residue. 🤎 Shave or Wax: • Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to allow your pores to close and avoid tan settling into them. 🤎 Avoid Moisturizers and Oils: • Do not apply any lotions, oils, or heavy creams after exfoliating. These can create a barrier and prevent the spray tan from adhering evenly. Day of the Spray Tan: 🤎 Shower with a Gentle Cleanser: • Avoid bar soap or harsh body washes. Use a pH-balanced cleanser to prevent residue. 🤎 No Makeup, Deodorant, or Perfume: • Come to your appointment with clean, dry skin. These products can interfere with the application. 🤎 Wear Loose, Dark Clothing: • Opt for dark, loose-fitting clothes and avoid tight bras or leggings to prevent rubbing on your fresh tan. 🤎 Remove Jewelry: • Take off all jewelry to avoid uneven spots.(I have container in studio) I will provide you after care instructions after your appointment!
